Product Details
Taper Lock Bush.
A taper lock bush is a mechanical device used to mount pulleys, sprockets, and couplings onto a shaft. This type of locking mechanism uses a tapered bore and a matching taper on the outside of the component to be mounted.
The bush is then tightened onto the shaft with a set screw, which locks the bush in place and prevents it from rotating on the shaft. Machined to exact tolerances in cast iron and steel, the Taper Lock® bush has been tried and tested in over 40 million applications. It is the most successful shaft fixing in the marketplace today with a full range of both metric and imperial sizes.
Key Features
• Easy installation and removal, complete with fitting instructions
• No re-boring as a full range of both metric and inch bores are available
• Totally proven taper bush system with millions in use worldwide
• Short-length taper bushes allow increased maximum bores.
• Keys are not required on light-duty applications.
